Midweek Soup Supper - Devotions & Prayer

“Lord Teach Us”

At the heart of Jesus’ relationship with God the Father, was a deep, daily life of prayer. This Lent, join us on Sunday mornings and midweek as we invite Jesus to teach us how to pray and how to deepen our life with God.

Lenten Wednesdays

6 pm Soup Supper

6:30 pm Devotions & Dialogue

7:15 pm Prayer & Communion

On the five Wednesdays after Lent begins all are invited to unite in a day of fasting and prayer. Fasting is an ancient practice of going without solid food during the day to remind us to pray and to focus our lives on God. Not all can go without food...simply join in the prayerful spirit of the day.

Then come Wednesday evenings to break our fast together with a soup and bread supper, devotions and dialogue on that week’s theme in the Lord’s Prayer, and a time of prayer together. Each evening we’ll close with a simple celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Cost for the soup supper is $3 per person. Nursery care is available.

Weekly themes:

“Hallowed Be Thy Name”  Wednesday, February 13

“On Earth As It Is In Heaven”  Wednesday, February 20

“Our Daily Bread”  Wednesday, February 27

“Forgive Us...As We Forgive”  Wednesday, March 5
