Prayer
We believe in the power of God through prayer. We have a dedicated Prayer Team that champions our prayer life as a community and encourages all of us to make prayer a daily part of our lives. The team offers a variety of ways for those who have a heart for prayer to serve.
- Prayer Team
- All are welcome. The group meets every Wednesday 7- 8 pm to pray together for our church, our community and our world.
- E-Prayer Network
- Those who participate in the network receive prayer requests by email and commit to pray for the requests as they receive them.
- Prayer Shawl Ministry
- Are you a knitter? This is a loving ministry of prayer and creativity. People pray for God’s hope and healing for someone in special circumstances as they knit a prayer shawl that will be offered to the person as a gift. When the person wraps the shawl around his or her shoulders, they are literally covered by prayer—and by the knowledge that someone has been holding them in prayer with every knit and purl of beautiful yarn.
- Prayer Walk Ministry
- This is a prayer team on the move. The group sets a time and a place and then walks and prays for the people there, such as a local neighborhood or high school. It’s great exercise for the body, one’s faith and one’s ministry of prayer. We trust God for great results.
- Team Rapha
- Rapha comes from the book of Exodus where God said, “I am the Lord who heals,” (Exodus 15:28). Team Rapha is a group of ChristChurch friends willing to assemble when called upon to offer healing prayer for those who request it—a practice that dates back to Jesus’ first followers (James 5:14-15). Special healing prayer training is offered to those interested.
