Worship & Worship Arts
“Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.”
Psalm 100:2
At the heart of worship is a celebration…the celebration of God’s love for us and for all people through Christ. So worship at ChristChurch is marked by a spirit of joy. It is also a team effort. We have dedicated teams of people serving up front and behind the scenes to support our worship life. We incorporate the creative use of the worship arts and techology available today—from music to multimedia. So people with a variety of skills, interests and gifts are able to contribute. Our worship teams are always ready to welcome someone new. Consider the possibilities and contact one of our worship team leaders.
Music Team
Music is a major part of our worship life. On Sunday mornings the Music Team leads us in song and offers special music to inspire our worship. The team rehearses Tuesday evenings and serves on a rotational basis. The repertoire includes music by leading Christian songwriters of today, as well as some of the great inspirational hymns of our Christian tradition.
The Music Team welcomes students and adults with musical skills and the ability to read music and play by charts—vocalists and instrumentalists (keyboard, guitar, drums, or any string, brass or wind instrument). Auditions are a requirement for those who desire to serve as musicians in worship.
Other opportunities to serve include a seasonal choir (e.g. Christmas, Easter) and administrative support (sheet music filing and organization).

Taizé Prayer Service
Taizé is a reflective service of worship centered in prayer, Scripture reading and distinctive songs based on passages of Scripture. It is a very personal and contemplative form of worship countless people around the world have found helpful, healing and uplifting.
The Taizé Prayer Service is offered in the evenings on a seasonal basis. It sometimes includes an opportunity to experience the Labrynth Prayer Walk—another Christian prayer tradition dating back centuries. The labrynth enables us to take a journey of prayer together, seeking God in our hearts and mindful that others are on the journey with us.
Opportunities to serve the Taizé Team include planning and hosts, musicians and vocalists.
